Fishing Local

Planes, trains and automobiles. No, not the movie but the ever present element that makes most northern New Jersey anglers different from the rest.

We have to get creative with our locations and be OK with cars whizzing by on a nearby overpass or the sound of a freight train horn as it embarks on its next depot. Some of these spots offer some quality fishing that get overlooked due to the lack of curb appeal.

Contrary to my last, there are plenty of picturesque landscapes that one can paint themselves in and often aren’t far from the overpass.

As the adage goes, don’t judge a book by its cover. The same can be applied to urban angling.

This blog will cover my first hand experiences for both hunting and fishing in NJ.
